Aeronautics, nuclear reactors, autos, and other technologically advanced industries have demanded high-strength temperature resistant (HSTR) alloys with a high “strength to weight” ratio. Materials scientists are working on producing materials with improved strength, hardness, toughness, and other characteristics. This also necessitates the development of improved cutting tool materials in order to maintain productivity. Miniaturization, part complexity, rigorous tolerances, thin walls, material hardness, and smoothing rough surfaces are all difficulties that advanced machining can handle for today's more difficult-to-produce parts. Advanced machining processes offer alternatives where conventional procedures would be insufficient or uneconomical. Since their introduction, the majority of these advanced machining technologies have seen consistent expansion. In some circumstances, productivity can be boosted by lowering the total number of manufacturing activities necessary or by executing the operations faster than using traditional methods.

This book explains the complex subject of advanced machining processes in the most straightforward and understandable manner possible. It explains the many approaches and theories that are used in these processes. It deals with material removal processes, mechanical processes, chemical processes and electrochemical processes. It is of the biggest importance and is certain to present readers with incredible insights. It also focuses on thermal processes, hybrid electrochemical processes, hybrid thermal processes, material addition processes and electrochemical machining. This is an essential source of knowledge because of the coherence of the topics, the student-friendly language, and the frequent use of examples. Those in search of information to further their knowledge will be greatly assisted by this book.
