Micromachining is a newer manufacturing technique. It is a technique that involves the subtractive construction of devices or features with at least some of their dimensions in the micrometre range using mechanical micro tools with geometrically defined cutting edges. Engineers, biomechanics, and other sectors utilise it to replicate processes and experiments on a micro scale. Micromachining can create very small and intricate parts that are required for certain applications, particularly in the semiconductor and medical industry. The book “Introduction to Micromachining” discusses the working principles, the laboratory models developed and the applications of different individual micromachining processes. It deals with electrochemical micromachining, metrology for micromachined components and laser micromachining.  It explores diamond turn machining, microfabrication, surface micromachining and magnetic abrasive finishing. While understanding the long-term perspectives of the topics, the book makes an effort in highlighting. The various subfields along with the technological progress that have future implications are also glanced in this book. It is self-instructed for all the readers as well as the students interested in this field.
